After listening to Bill Valentine on Friday's Drive Time Sports and a few months ago on the Pat Lynch Show on WAIRadio.com, here's my best guess on the answer to the most frequently asked question about Dickey-Stephens Park -- how much will tickets cost. And if I'm wrong, I'm all for being corrected because I don't think many have a good handle on this.
Box seats -- There will be half the number of box seats at the new ballpark as compared to Ray Winder Field. My guess is these seats will be sold at an as yet announced price.
Reserved seats -- The rest of the seats beyond box seats will all be sold on a reserved basis for $8.
General admission -- This will be the seating in the right-field bleachers and outfield grass berm areas (or in the actual outfield if Fernando Valenzuela ever returns), and maybe there are other sections, for $6.
Even if season tickets go up and box seats are say $12, these prices still seem pretty reasonable to me.
